Physiotherapy

Physiotherapists are primary health care providers who combine in depth knowledge of the body and how it works with hands on skills to assess, treat and diagnose.

Treatment may include: exercise prescription, acupuncture, soft tissue release, taping, joint mobilization/manipulation

Lisa is a registered physiotherapist who uses her knowledge of anatomy and movement analysis to determine the true cause of dysfunctional movement and pain. This information guides her individualized treatment plans, which integrate manual therapy, soft tissue release, muscle activation, acupuncture, taping and exercise prescription to aid in re-patterning movement.

Lisa is a lifelong student and has completed degrees in Anatomy, Physical Therapy, Biology and Physical Health and Education, all from Queen’s University.

Growing up in the Beach, Lisa paddled for the Balmy Beach Canoe Club at the Canoe/Kayak National Championships, competed for the Malvern C.I. swim team and began playing rugby. She continued with rugby through university where she was captain of her team. After graduating from Queen’s University, Lisa enjoys working out with kettlebells and has received the highest level of certification for Russian kettlebell training/instructing. If she isn’t in the clinic treating clients, or in the gym swinging kettlebells you will find her on the deck at her family cottage in the middle of a good book.

Danielle is a registered physiotherapist with a Masters in Physical Therapy from Western University. Prior to completing her masters, Danielle completed a Bachelor’s in Human Kinetics with a minor in Nutritional & Nutraceutical Sciences at the University of Guelph. Since graduating from Western, Danielle has continued her education with courses in manual therapy and in the prevention of running injuries.

Danielle’s approach to treatment incorporates hands on techniques and exercises. She enjoys empowering and educating people on how they can take control over and enhance their own rehabilitation process & outcomes.

In her spare time, Danielle enjoys being active and she has participated in a number of different sports including soccer, baseball, floor hockey, basketball, figure skating, etc. More recently she has been spending her time off training for a marathon, or relaxing at the beach.
